A new range of British ready-to-eat quail eggs has been launched by The Original Egg Company, a niche brand under the Stonegate family. The range includes cooked and peeled quail eggs and pickled quail eggs.
The cooked and peeled quail eggs are available in a range of bespoke sizes – from large buckets to smaller pots, to suit the needs of all sizes of chefs and catering and hospitality establishments. The eggs are prepared using an innovative peeling machine that produces consistently perfect freshly cooked and peeled quail eggs, thereby saving busy chefs and caterers lots of time and hassle!
The pickled quail eggs are preserved in a sweetened malt vinegar; this ensures that the subtle flavour of the quail eggs are protected and ensures that the smooth, delicate taste comes through.
The quail eggs all come from the company’s own flock of ‘free to fly’ birds that are raised to the highest standards. Other products from The Original Egg Company includes a single portion, hard boiled and shelled ready to eat snack egg, which was launched in August.
