The Agnes Rose range has received a discerning following in only its second year following the success of last year’s winner the Strawberry Vinegar and this years winners Damson Vinegar, Blackberry and Mint Vinegar in the Food NorthWest Awards.
Agnes Rose is the latest culinary concept from Cumbria to take the speciality food sector by storm establishing the region as a leader in inspirational cuisine.
This exceptional range, comprising of 13 varieties of fruit and herb infused oils and vinegars made by hand to old family recipes is the creation of Naomi Darbishire from Whinfell, the daughter of the renowned Lakeland artist Stephen Darbishire.
Naomi’s, passion for real food echoes the creativity that the family name symbolises as well as her strong bonds to the region. All her selected ingredients are sourced through local suppliers with many of the hedgerow fruits being collected from the outcrops surrounding Grayrigg, then artistically combined making the Agnes Rose brand a truly ‘culinary boutique’ essential with Cumbrian credentials!
Following the launch of her unique infusions with eight individual creations, a further five innovative conceptions have been launched by popular demand, creating a range which is noveux in its remit encapsulating the latest trends and recipes.
‘I am absolutely delighted, there were so many entries!’, enthuses Naomi. ‘These vinegars are favourites of mine and especially as the Blackberry Vinegar was the birth of the first combinations I launched; I’m am truly delighted’.
