The Collective Launch Cow of the Year
The Collective, makers of gourmet yoghurt, has announced the launch of a very special beauty competition… for cows. In 2013 the yoghurt brand is seeking to crown one cow ‘Cow of the Year’ – because gorgeous cows make gorgeous yoghurts!
The Collective are inviting everyone and anyone to submit headshots of their candidate of choice by uploading it to: www.cowoftheyear.com and you could be in with the chance of winning £1,000.
The Collective is not looking for a cow with ambitions to achieve world peace or find a cure for disease, just an animal with a fetching face, long lashes and a sweet temperament like you would expect from a typical beauty queen. The winning cow will receive a sash and crown to wear, so they can parade their beauty for all to see.
You can log on to the website and view the stunning herd in the picture gallery, where you will be able to vote for the cow that takes your fancy. When you submit a picture make sure you vote for your cow and rally round your friends and family to do the same. Remember this is a competition, so every vote counts.
The winning cow will be picked from 6 finalists, each of the 6 will have been voted for by the public. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, all experts in their field and selected either for their understanding and appreciation of cows or for their insider knowledge of the beauty industry. The winner of ‘Cow of the Year’ will be crowned in May 2013, with a cash prize of £1,000 for the person who submits the winning photo.
Even if you do not have a real life picture of a cow to upload and enter into the competition, The Collective are still giving you ways to win, as it launches a weekly drawing and imitation cow competition on the website. Each week a winner from here will be picked to receive a goody bag full of Collective goodies and vouchers to enjoy its scrumptious yoghurts.
The welfare and protection of cows is important to The Collective and therefore it is proud to have the support of Red Tractor behind them. As part of ‘Cow of the Year’ The Collective will be supporting and raising awareness of local community farms and will donate £500 to the winner’s chosen community/city farm. In order to help more people get out and experience farm life themselves, whether this be in the countryside or in the city (and perhaps find the winning cow), there is also handy community farm map on the website. So never has there been a better time to visit your local farm and get snapping pictures of cows, it could turn out to be winner!
For more information and terms and conditions visit www.cowoftheyear.com closing date for entries 15th April 2013 for cows and 22nd April for your drawings/imitation pictures.
