Plasto-Sac UK Limited is a subsidiary of Plasto-Sac PLC Israel. The Plasto-Sac group extrudes, prints and converts over 60,000 tons per annum across a broad range of industries, specialising in the produce and food markets, with a turnover in excess of €180million and with continued investment of over 5 million euros planned for 2011, it will enable the group to remain at the forefront for quality and innovation within the flexible packaging industry.
Agrovista UK Ltd, the leading agronomy specialist, crop protection and amenity product distributor has announced its expansion in horticulture, and it’s entry to the glasshouse, ornamental and salad markets. Two new members have joined the team to specialise in these areas and to compliment and work with the other members of the horticultural team.
The European Commission announced at the Paris ‘Salon de ’Agriculture’ on the 19th–27th February 2011 that it is preparing a proposal for electronic identification of bovines, upgrading the existing plastic tagging system. This move by DG SANCO, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Consumers, aims to further strengthen the current system of bovine traceability in the EU.

Malcolm Tickner has joined the company in Kent and East Sussex and will be specialising in ornamental and glasshouse production. This appointment complement the two new members that joined the team last month.
The DTR (Delivery Temperature Recorder) printing thermometer has been designed specifically with the food industry in mind. The DTR provides users with hard copy evidence of temperature and associated data of produce at the time of delivery or during storage.
